Meet the Doula
Hi, I'm so glad you're here! My name is Mercedes Amabile, a birth and postpartum doula in Colorado Springs, CO. I am a nurturer, an advocate, a bringer of quiet strength, an encourager, an empath, a "girl's girl". My deep desire is to bring strength, dignity and peace to vulnerable places. And isn't it sweet to make friends along the way? It would be my greatest honor to walk alongside you and your family in this beautiful journey of motherhood, bringing a new life into the world!
A little look into who I am....
I am a (new)wife and a cat mom of 2. My husband and I pray we can have some miracle babies of our own soon. I love all things outdoors (as long as there's no mosquitoes. Thanks for being awesome Colorado!) I'm a huge animal lover, and basically anything cute, soft and small. AKA Babies are one of my favorite things of all time. One of my most favorite titles is "Auntie Mercy" which extends beyond nieces and nephews, to all the littles in my life that I get the privilege to love on. One of my love-languages is cooking and baking for others. All I have ever really wanted to do professionally was be a "mommy" and thats what brought me to birth work! A perfect match.

Birth Doula
Are you looking for continuous, knowledgeable support during pregnancy, labor and birth? As a Birth doula I provide 2 prenatal appointments, phone support throughout your pregnancy, continuous in-person labor support for you and your partner from active labor until 1-2 hours after birth and a postpartum visit.
Postpartum Doula
Are you nervous about the transition of adding a new little one to the family? A postpartum doula can help ease this transition over the first few weeks after birth. This could mean help with household chores, meals and snacks, and me taking care of baby for several hours so you can nap and have a little time for self-care. Services can be personalized to what you are needing most.
Childbirth Education : Coming Soon!
Childbirth education is a crucial part of feeling confident and prepared for labor, birth, and parenthood. In-depth Childbirth education courses are coming soon. In the meantime, I can refer you to classes if needed!
